2019 Winners

This is our 5th year hosting our festival and what an amazing festival it has been! The standard and the amount of entries exceeded all expectations this year and the annual witches dance and our new event, the witches wheelbarrow race, created so much fun and laughter in the village and will be back again next year.

It was a very difficult year for our judges to pick an overall winner and they decided to award 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes. Our sincere congratulations to the overall winners of Leap Scarecrow Festival 2019:

2nd Prize Scarer of Crows, by Mandy Mckevoy.

3rd Prize Your litter is killing us, by Gaelscoil Skibbereen.

The committee would like to offer our heartfelt thanks to everyone who took part in making this years festival the most successful so far and we hope to see you all back again next year.

Ger's 'Native Irish Man' was covered entirely with native Irish tree and plant species, these included Holly, Ivy, Ash, Oak, Hazel and even crab apples!
